One Sustainable Ocean is a joint initiative organized by Lisbon City Council, Fórum Oceano, Science and Technology Foundation, University of Lisbon and several other entities, in the context of the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) 2022.
The «One Sustainable Ocean | Ocean Science & Business2Sea» is one of the official side-events area of UNOC 2022, having been designated officially as «umbrella event». Sponsored by Pingo Doce, through the initiative to preserve the ocean "Amar o Mar", it is a free entry event focused on the ocean future, sustainability, circular economy, and innovation, totally aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life below water.
«One Sustainable Ocean | Ocean Science & Business2Sea» will take place in the iconic venue of the Portugal Pavillion (Pavilhão de Portugal), a masterpiece from the Pritzker winner Portuguese architect, Siza Vieira.
The Portugal Pavillion is in a privileged location, just 4 minutes walking distance from UNOC’s Blue Zone.
«One Sustainable Ocean | Ocean Science & Business2Sea» will have a dedicated area for companies and scientific institutions to showcase their products and services, an auditorium where the main conferences will take place, workshop rooms and a B2B networking lounge. During the conference, visitants and exhibitors interested in networking will be able to schedule physical meetings - private, pre-arranged bilateral meeting and networking through their registration in a b2match platform. Additionally, there will be technology demonstrations in the water area in front of the venue.
